Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about Sober Living

What are the Requirements to Join the Sober Living Community?

Community Members must have at least 6 months time clean and sober. We accept both men and women. Those interested in joining the Sober Living Community are encouraged to contact our Assistant Program Director, Adam Travis.

Can Sober Living Help Get Off Drugs and Alcohol?

Sober Living does not provide detoxification services. We are a residential community for individuals who are living free from drugs and alcohol.

What If I Just Need a Place to Live?

The Sober Living Residential Community is limited to those who want to live free from drugs and alcohol. If you are just looking for a nice place to live, please pursue other housing options.

Who Pays for Utilities?

Basic utilities are included in monthly community fees. The basic utilities include garbage pick-up, water, electric, natural gas, a yard service, cable internet and television.

Are Community Members Required to Attend 12-Step Meetings?

Although Sober Living does not require Community Members to document attendance at 12-Step Meetings, we do strongly encourage regular 12-Step Meeting attendance. We believe that nothing assures long term sobiety more than continuous participation in 12-Step recovery.

Are There Mandatory Community Meetings?

Community Members can call for a Community Meeting to be facilitated by the Program Director when the need arises, but there are no regular Community Meetings for Community Members. The Sober Living Community provides its Members a high degree of personal freedom so long as basic rules regarding personal responsibility and accountability are followed.
